Uptonica

Google user data

How Uptonica accesses, uses, stores and deletes data from your Google account. The full privacy policy follows below.

Data we access

When you connect a Google Calendar to Uptonica we access, with your consent: your Google account email address, used only to label which calendar is connected; your calendar free/busy information, which returns busy time windows only and never event titles, descriptions, attendees or any other event content; and permission to create and update events on your primary calendar.

How we use it

Free/busy data is used to work out which time slots to offer on your public booking page. Calendar write access is used to place a confirmed appointment on your primary calendar, to move it if the booking is rescheduled, and to attach a Google Meet link. Your email address distinguishes multiple connected calendars in the interface. We do not use Google user data for advertising or profiling, and we do not use it to develop, improve or train generalised AI or machine-learning models.

Sharing

We do not sell Google user data and we do not share it with third parties. It travels only between your browser, our servers and Google's own APIs. No human at Uptonica reads your calendar data except where you explicitly ask us to for support, or where required by law.

Storage and protection

OAuth access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest and transmitted only over TLS. Free/busy data is never stored: it is requested from Google when a booking page is displayed and discarded once the available slots are calculated. Of the events we create we retain only the event identifier and the meeting link, so that a later reschedule updates the right event. Access is restricted to the workspace that connected the account.

Retention and deletion

Tokens are kept until you disconnect the calendar. Disconnecting erases the stored access and refresh tokens immediately. You can do this yourself at any time in Booking → Calendar accounts → Disconnect, revoke Uptonica's access directly at myaccount.google.com/permissions, or write to us at [email protected] to request deletion of your data.

Limited Use

Uptonica's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
